Facebook is killing everything

Facebook is draining the life blood of everyone. It causes depression, anxiety, and the need to conform to what everyone accepts as the societal norm. We are in an age of mindless and purposeless conformity. Facebook is killing what individuality is left in this world. Why are people so attracted to instant gratification and notoriety? Why do people flock towards that which is instant and meaningless? This forum gives everyone the tools to rise up out of the sludge that robs hours of our days in search of acceptance. If it ain't on Tiktok, Facebook or Instagram, it doesn't exist. So done with all of it. The real world is at odds with MTV's The Real World. Where do we go from here? Why do so many only seek spontaneous notoriety? The answer my friend, is blowing in the wind.

Glad I never fell into that hole. This forum is the closest (and furthest) thing to Facebook I've ever known.

Personnaly, I only use facebook for messenger and freebord stuff. Its great for that and easy to use and you get a better visibility. This forum is cool too but not everybody is on it. So simple you start freebord you search on facebook for groups :/

It would be good if more people came over from the Facebook page, in time more will hopefull.  I think people just like things easy, they're already on fb and can check what groups they like along with everything else. I've always liked a good forum lol they were the shit back when dial up came out ha. Then again I like watching TV series' one episode a week as they're aired instead of binge watching so maybe I'm just different lol

this forum is literally facebook on steroids. You got everything facebook has for freebord, plus a forum as well. Its got an activity stream AKA the wall www.freebordcommunity.com/activity and its got messenger, + a forum and blog. Your right people want easy. But I'm afraid facebook has dumbed people down so much they can't figure out how to navigate anywhere else. This community is no harder to use than facebook, It looks clean and its easier to navigate old posts imo. theres almost 100 users on here, and only 3 people are using the resources. The same with facebook, out of thousands of members, only 50 people actually post or comment. Its very discerning on all fronts.

Yeah I am in the other boat on the tv series thing. I prefer to watch them all at once, but if the current season of a show I really like is on, I will watch each new episode as it airs (of course later that night or the next day cuz i use a streaming site.)

I dont know for you but for me is soooo slow. And every body use phone today and there is no freebord comunity app today. Its easier to join freebord group on facebook when you already have facebook. Also i know old french freebord forum has been hacked multiple time...

But i join you on its good to have a place specially for Freebord and watch series ep when they came out !

@stl-grl Im working on an app for this forum right now actually, but as for slow, this isn't slow at all, it takes like 1 second to load. Alot of us grew up with dial-up modems so waiting 1-2 seconds for a website to load is nothing lol. But I can see how younger people who grew up with cell phones and cable modems would think a couple seconds is too long to wait.

I assume it is a different community of freeborders that will land on this forum...it always was that way when the old forum was active when compared to those who relied on facebook. I'm ok with that. The right people will land in the right places.

stl-grl, if Facebook is where you feel the community is most alive for you, thats where you should be.

Those things said, this forum was always a special portal into a unique subculture within freebording. I have always valued it, and missed it when it was gone. I hope the forum pops off in a major way as the new product release plays out, but if it doesn't, I hope it can just stay around for those of us who use and appreciate it.
